The Safety Maintenance Company is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Health and Safety Instructor to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be based primarily across our Leeds and Derby training centres, with occasional nationwide delivery to support our expanding client base.

We are a well-established provider of accredited training services to the construction, manufacturing and education sectors, known for our high standards, professional delivery and supportive, people-focused culture.

The Role

As an Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant training that meets awarding body standards and supports our clients in maintaining safe and competent workforces. You will work closely with our management team and governing bodies to ensure continuous improvement across our training provision.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering engaging, high-quality accredited training to customers
Ensuring training delivery meets the requirements of awarding and governing bodies
Reviewing and updating training materials to ensure content remains current and relevant
Working collaboratively with internal teams to support business improvement initiatives
Positively promoting the company’s values, reputation and professional standards
Supporting the continued growth and development of the business

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

Level 3 in Education and Training is essential
A CITB Instructor qualification is desirable but not essential
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Health & Safety Diploma is desirable but not essential
Experience working within the construction and/or training industry
Proven instructional or teaching experience

If you do not currently hold one of the required tutor accreditations, we are willing to support you in gaining this qualification.
