Our Courses

Make sure to check the specific joining instructions for your particular training, as they may have additional or different requirements.

If you’re attending a CITB Site Safety Plus course you will need to bring some photographic ID with you to be able to sit the course.
If you do not provide a form of ID at the start of the training you won’t be admitted onto the course. If you have any questions about what ID to bring please refer to the table below or call the team on 0800 069 9539.

Unfortunately lunch is not provided but there are plenty of cafes and shops around our training centres and the facilities to warm food up within our training centre.
We do offer tea, coffee and water to all our delegates.

All our courses start at 8am unless a different time is specified on your joining instructions.
We often run afternoon half day courses which start at 12.30pm.
To allow time to sign in to your course please arrive at least 15 minutes before the course start time.

We operate a digital signing in process on all of our courses. You will need to complete this process to register your attendance and these details will be used on your certificate.

We have two training centres on in Pudsey, Leeds and the other in Ilkeston, Derby.

There is limited free car parking outside our training centres. If you are unable to park within the industrial estate, then please park on the main road.
Please do not park in front of other business premises and ensure all routes, and entry/exit points are always clear.

If you experience any issues on the morning of the course and you believe you will be late please call the office on 0800 069 9539 and inform a member of the team. We will then advise if you will be granted access to the course on your late arrival

Generally all certificates will be received back at the office within 10 working days of the course completion. Once a certificate is received it is added to our post run to be issued immediately. Certificates are only issued once the invoice for the course has been paid in full.

If you are a CITB registered business you can claim up to £10,000 in skills and training funding. As a CITB-approved training organisation, The Safety Maintenance Company can offer help and assistance with your application.

Once your tutor has submitted your exam results an email will be sent to the course booker to confirm you have attended and passed your course.

The information provided to the Construction Industry Training Board (“CITB”) in this form will be used for the application and administration of an apprenticeship and for purposes connected with our role as an Industrial Training Board in accordance with the Industrial Training Act 1982. Your data will be held securely and treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to external parties other than as required for the purposes described above, which will include:

• Sharing with Further Education establishments or training providers
• Sharing with current or prospective employers
• Publishing your achievements on the CITB Construction Training Register
• Sharing with awarding organisations or competency card schemes if you apply for their products

On booking, it is the client’s responsibility to inform the company of any special requirements a delegate may have, including language problems, reading and writing difficulties etc. At the point of notice we will offer help and advise on options available to the delegate to help with any special requirements.
All delegates must be physically and mentally fit to withstand the requirements of their training course. The onus is on the delegate entirely to ensure their suitability and fitness to undergo training.
