SSSTS Training Course Remote

Our SSSTS (site supervisor safety scheme) course delivered from our Leeds training centre is aimed at those with supervisory roles within the building, construction or civil engineering industries. The course is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors working on their sites.

During the course you will an understanding and working knowledge of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. It also highlights the legal responsibilities that you have as a supervisor in order to promote health and safety effectively.

By the end of the course you will receive a certificate showing that you have an understanding of:

  • health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors
  • your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely
  • risk assessments and the need for method statements
  • effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
  • monitoring site activities effectively
  • timely intervention when bad practice is identified

This certification lasts 5 years and can be renewed via a refresher course.

Already undertaken a SSSTS course? We also offer a refresher course in Leeds, which will extend your certification a further 5 years.

Description

The course will cover how to safely supervise activities on a construction site following health and safety regulations and delegates will be asked to present a tool box talk. Delegates will be made aware of health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors, delegates will look at the importance for risk assessments and method statements.
